A top-notch research and advisory firm specialized in providing insights into commercial real estate, GreenStreet offers a range of data-driven analysis, interactive tools, and research to help clients make informed decisions. Despite its robust offerings, the platform was deemed overly complex, challenging to navigate, and not mobile-friendly—resulting in users missing out on key features and struggling to locate the information they needed.
Approach
Prior to initiating the design process, a thorough understanding of user interactions with the platform was imperative. Through research and collaboration with GreenStreet's team, major usability pain points were identified, leading to a restructuring of the platform to prioritize accessibility and feature discoverability.
To ensure a cohesive experience across both web and mobile platforms, a design system was meticulously crafted from scratch. This system standardized UI components, enhanced efficiency, and enabled the platform to adapt and scale with future enhancements.
A crucial upgrade involved revamping the dashboard to be more navigable and customized. The introduction of a tailored onboarding experience allowed users to select their areas of interest, resulting in a dashboard that showcased relevant data and insights.
The original charts and mapping tools were revamped to be more user-friendly. Large datasets were broken down into digestible charts, key filters were prioritized, and interactive elements were introduced to enable users to engage dynamically with the data.
In response to the initial lack of a mobile experience, a companion mobile app was designed in collaboration with GreenStreet's team. This app provided a seamless, intuitive interface for users requiring mobile access to critical real estate insights.
