How could we simplify GreenStreet's platform to make essential data easier to find and interact with?
GreenStreet is a leading research and advisory firm specializing in commercial real estate insights. Their platform offers data-driven analysis, interactive mapping tools, and investment research to help clients make informed decisions. However, while their platform was robust, it was overly complex, difficult to navigate, and not mobile-friendly—causing users to miss key features and struggle to access the information they needed.
Before diving into design, I needed to understand how users interacted with the platform. Through research and working closely with GreenStreet’s team, I mapped out the biggest usability pain points and restructured the platform to prioritize accessibility and discoverability of key features
To ensure a cohesive experience across web and mobile, I built a design system from scratch that standardized UI components, improved efficiency, and allowed the platform to scale with future updates
One of the most critical improvements was a more navigable and personalized dashboard. I introduced a customized onboarding experience that let users select their areas of interest, tailoring the dashboard to surface relevant data and insights
The original charts and mapping tools were overwhelming and difficult to interpret. I redesigned them by breaking large datasets into multiple, digestible charts, prioritizing the most-used filters, and introducing interactive elements that allowed users to engage with data dynamically
Before the platform overhaul, GreenStreet had no mobile experience. With the help from GreeStreets team, I designed a companion mobile app that provided a seamless, intuitive experience for users who needed access on the go
